Still, it's made an interesting SAK out of a one that was built up from parts in the "borked tools" box

this link shows the basic method. Pretty easy once you get a bit of practice in.
I used the same method to do the brass shields for my hardwood scales and the one (which turned out really well) for the Elinox Camper.
