Victordomingos, the rubber thing you are referring to is called a plunger.

Sounds like the minichamp saved the day for you. A minichamp was my first ever genuine SAK. I lost it unfortunately. That small Phillips was wonderfully useful, especially for computer work.

Thanks for the answer.

The small Phillips is very useful indeed. :-)

Yesterday I use the pen from my Explorer Plus to sign a receipt to pay for lunch that me and the wife had as the waitress  bought the check but left no pen.

Later than day, I used the inline philips to remove the screws from a window air conditioner to pack that away for the upcoming winter season!

Gotta love the Explorer Plus  :D

Yeah, it does!  I asked my wife if she had one in her purse but she didn't so I said "oh, I have one" and pulled out the sak and took the pen out, started filling out the tip, then she said "that even has a pen?" and my reply is "heck yeah, it does" with a smile! :D

Heck yeah :tu:  My wife rolls her eyes when we're grocery shopping and she asks me for a pen and I tell her I only have my little SAK pen.  But she's able to mark items off our list as we go, so she can't complain :twak:

My wife thinks I am stupid in general, but especially so when I pull out a SAK to fix something or use the pen.  her loss, not mine!

I just tell her, That I am smart enough to know I am stupid, I feel sorry for people who are not bright enough to realize they are stupid.

that usually ends the talk.

There was a large delivery of several PC towers just a little bit ago.  Two pallets stacked with them and wrapped in plastic.  The driver of the delivery truck asked if I had a knife he could use to cut that plastic, and of course I had a knife ;)  I handed him my Ranger Plus and let him have the privelege of using such a fine piece :tu:

Haha, yeah, he should have had at least a knife on him considering what he has to deal with every day I would imagine.  I'm sure he has to do a lot of cutting tasks like that, so why not be prepared?  Luckily for him, I was kind enough to share ;)

I used the main blade on my Explorer to slice a tomato and a cucumber for salad (my SAK has the only blade I can really rely on at home...). And right now, I am slicing a peach for dessert :-)

I used the Philips on my Syph custom to swap my Kershaw Camp 10 scabbard to lefty carry. I haven't belt mounted it yet, but it could use a good sharpening. It had some back luck chopping some firewood.

Then I used the blade to cut things. There were strawberries, bananas, and they fell into some oatmeal.

I used the Philips screwdriver on my Recruit to take the screws off of my wife's license plate to transfer it from her old car (which was traded it) and also to put the plate on her new car.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

What is a paring knife?

What happens in my kitchen is that most knives aren't very sharp, and I really like to have a knive than cut the tomato instead of smashing it :-) I sharp those knives all the time but then my wife tends to use them to cut bones, frozen food and all sort of hard things, and they get totally screwed again and again.

So, the only blades that never get spoiled are the ones i carry in my pocket...

I used the magnifier in my Explorer as a macro lens for my iPhone 4, in order to take a detailed picture of my Minichamp (check another thread around MTO) and my daughters' eyes. I couldn't do this last one, because the baby wouldn't stay in the same position for a long time :-)

I also used the ruler in my Minichamp to measure and it's pen to write down a few more centimeters on a paper ruler.

I used the Ranger Plus's saw to cut down one of two young trees that was too close to the back side of our place.  They scrape against the window when it's windy, and make an annoying sound.  Here is a pic, though not that great quality due to the semi darkness at the time and whatnot.
