Marius, I managed to get glass for my minerals and another one for my toy soldiers. I wouldn't dare to ask for a third one. When she sees the guests starring at the collections with interest, making noises "Ah", "Oh" etc, she is convinced that her decision was right. Perhaps you could try to persuade yours. 100 shinny SAKs in a presentation furniture would decorate any house so nicely.

I just found 24 (though there are a few more floating around), and I have a pre-owned Super Tinker in route from Mr. Feline Vet.   There is a sapphire Manager in my pocket at the moment.

I'm happy with that for now. I will be doing a carbon fibre scale mod hopefully soon. I just need a little guidance though. I've PMd a few of the folks here about it and will more than likely do a lot more bugging them the closer I get to doing it. I just don't want to go into it half cocked.

Yeah, I'm trying to cut down on my frivolous spending. I would like to have a savings thats pretty built up for the 'just in case' times. As for the cutting, I doubt that will ever stop  just don't do it with the self mutilation in mind

Your thinking is right.
I have experience the same with a display for my old pocket clocks.
But we live in a small apartment and i have already used the most of the space with my other hobbies (aquarium, home cinema speakers).
So she is little negative to see me adding another thing of my hobbies.
But with time i will make her agree.

Only 3 so far.  I just recently started collecting them about a month ago though, so I'm a newbie in that sense.  My first was the Executive, then a week ago I received the Compact, and just today I received the Alox Electrician.  I have been impressed with each one and have a yearning for more.  Unfortunately my wallet doesn't want to cooperate and feed that yearning   I must say I was surprised and impressed at how large and thick the Electrician's main knife blade is.  And surprised at how addicting these things are!
