Leatherman also bought out PockToolX, so there may be yet another one-piece tool lurking about from them, or a companion tool to debut. Leatherman are sneaky. Especially their PR personality.   


Is there any production category they have not tackled yet? Myself miss their Serac S2 lights, and still see them for a premium price. But they have LED Lenser for that innovation now. PocketToolX is a newly acquired acquisition and we must know by now there will be more to come from that division. Knives sure seem to have come and gone, with only the cheaper-made gizmos out. We've not seen anything new prop from there. Juice seem to have gotten neglected since the XE-6 came out. People have been asking for another run of PST tools.
Thinking back the MUT sort of gave them a surge forward in tool technology. OHT seems more of a step back than a step forward. Removable cutters gave consumers hope. Yet there's not been anything that grabs you by the balls and makes you scream "GOTS TO HAVE THAT!" in a while.

Not seen Leatherman tackle any survival staves, fishing tools, blow guns, or key management devices. No anti-zombie things for those freaks either. They have teased us with challenge coins and the like.
Maybe there will be a new line of tools with collector coins that accompany them. Then gives collectors something to scramble around for to trade, like the old Matchbox cars used to have.


Hmm... why no Leatherman jewelry? Earrings, belly rings, necklaces, watchbands, ect.? Okay, okay, back to my man cave for more winter hibernation.

+1 for the surge.  maybe scissors that would fit inside a wave (with rebar pliers) stock?

Oh yes, Surge has the capability and room. Not sure why no Mini-Surge yet. leatherman did make a Mini-Super Tool 300, so maybe. Be cool to see a Mini-Surge TTi. A Bird of Prey version in the multitool market. And makes us wait 8 months before production is ready.

I truly would like to see another true edition of the PST done.  Without any gimmicks, i dont really care about replaceable cutters or even scissors.  IMHO until they can make a scissor that really competes with 91mm vic scissors they should stop including them.  I want a rebar sized tool with traditional LM pliers and a knife blade that has some thickness to it.  The wafer thin blade stock they used on the rebar is shameful.  And for gods sake put a diamond file on every tool that has a file Leatherman!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see an anniversary edition of the PST with LOCKING tools.

But only if the quality is comparable to the original, not the modern stuff, My 10 buck pawn shop PST obliterates both my wave(2nd gen) and charge in build quality. I love diamond files but those original PST files were works of art.

As for overall IMO the entire line is becoming dated and at the very least refreshing the line with updates like rebar pliers, and not flashy new scales ala TTI. 

Pocket clips on everything would be awesome.

Now that they made standard replaceable cutter pliers, I for one would love a civilian version of the MUT with an Awl and Scissors replacing the gun specific tools. they could leave the rest.  Only in a mid size to make a tier from mut to skeletool.

They could also round off the wave like the rebar to give it smooth edges.

interchangeable Tools would be nice with packs for us to buy. I would mod more myself but I cant afford it.

how would it be different from the Rebar?  Just scissors?

I think they will release a 30th anniversary version of the PST. Maybe with the nice grip shape of that of the Blast. Maybe add a scissors too...

I bet they'll do something big. I'll be quite disappointed if they don't.

And +1 on the hex bit hole in the handle for 90° bit action. In fact, i dont see any reason for a tool not to have this simple bitholder.

After closely watching how Leatherman releases new tools over the years, and seeing some of the new items leaked, I would expect to see the big splash at next year's SHOT show.  I hope that I am wrong though.

More like what should of happened when the Super Tool 300 came out. Just a slow push of evolution before Leatherman teases us with upgrades on Charge & Wave - sometime next year. They likes to teases us!
