No, but the thought has occurred to me. I bright Rescue-Orange set of scales for a Farmer would make an excellent, hard to loose bush knife.

Wouldn't powder coat interfere with the tolerances? Just wondering.

Powder coat tend to peel off when damaged, probably not a good idea on high wear items?  ??? But on the other hand you can do it in your garage with minimum equipments...
