Huntsman owners club
on: March 07, 2013, 01:17:51 PM
Lets hear it for the oft overlooked Huntsman - probably everyone here has one, but that's the beauty of it. Great toolset that  means business.

I've EDC'd mine for many years now, and although I occasionally think about replacing it with my Farmer, SI or Recruit, I never have.

Huntsman we salute you!  :salute:

Aaaah the Huntsman  ;)  :D

I really love my trusty Huntman mod with long nail file instead of the hook.

My first SAK was a Huntsman... but sadly I lost it after a couple of years.

But I can still be a member of this club:

I'm in. No pics yet as I'm new in the SAK pron industry we all enjoy here. Got two Huntsman, an older, full tang 'n' nylon scales and a newer one with pin that also sings (it was discussed in another thread http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,42295.msg677514.html#msg677514 ). I'll manage to get some pics for your entertainment, people, but it should be done in nice weather and with my better half out of the way. She wouldn't cope with that too... :climber:

I am a big,big fan of the Huntsman/Fieldmaster tool set. Lots of utility in a reasonable package.

That's exactly the situation here!

I have a couple, but one is in the kitchen drawer as back up for all the other things which do those jobs. I think there's one in the caravan too, for much the same reason.

It's a workhorse choice I guess - not the prettiest or the most interesting but reliable and useful. The Telecaster of penknives!

Here's my Hardwood Huntsman. I wanted a Bubinga one but missed it. More recently I tried two new Nut Noce and Beli ones from Italy and I did not like how they were made so returned to my old lowly Hardwood.

The Huntsman ... my first and most carried SAK, still carry it every day at work and use it every lunchbreak to peel my daily apple ;).

But strange enough, I have tons of pics from all my SAK's, but only a few from my Huntsman .

Here are the most recent ones, I used it next to my new Wenger Evowood 17.

Nothing wrong with either the Huntsman, the Fieldmaster OR the Telecaster - I played a Tele for years and couldn't fault it - brilliant it of kit. Same as the Huntsman. Just too ubiquitous for most people to notice it when you're looking at fancier stuff - Les Pauls, Strats, Flying V's, Swisschamps, CT41's, Alox mods etc.

The Huntsman; it's the datum by which I judge all other SAKs.  They are all Huntsmen with tools added, removed or changed. :D

Mine in it's lovely translucent red scales. 8)

Huntsmen:

An old red nylon version that's part of the office tool kit and also sees occasional pocket time; and a quartet of fancies.
