Top 10 Most Desirable Leatherman
on: March 09, 2013, 11:38:34 AM
This poll is for a bit of fun. Just decide out of the 10 options, which you would most desire, assuming they are all in perfect original condition, and money is not an issue. Remember, it is not about the most valuable, which would clearly be the 25th anniversary limited edition Charge TTi (limited to 999 tools, costing over $500USD). As there were millions of PST made, we are talking about the very early ones, say, between 1983-4.
Have fun!

I'll have to take the 25th Anniversary Charge as I would like to see if the file rubs on it... :P

Plus it's the only one on the list that I don't already have.  :D

I also voted charge as I've owned many on the list so would like at least 1 shelf queen.  :D

Was a toss up between the Original PST & Juice KF4. Opted for the KF4 as to me it's the classiest and harder to locate tool.

Someone with the tool implement knowledge of Leatherman ought to make a poll to vote for what items they'd like in their more perfect multitool, with so many options to choose from. Obviously cannot have every implement.

BTW, was it the Firefox update or the server software change that's making this text entry box wider that the previously set size, and scrolling off screen when typing? Doesn't make for very good text previewing as the left side gets truncated.

Silver Charge.

You could sell that one and get one of each of the others on the list! :D

I was hoping we could have a top 10 ranking, rather than just the one vote for the most desirable. If the 25th anniversary silver Charge TTi was still available to buy at $500 USD, would anyone pay that amount today?

I'll have to go with an '83 Leatherman- It's my birth year too.

Next choice would probably a Sideclip, and then maybe a Mini-tool. Heck, they're all cool.

As far as desirable Leatherman tools go I just picked up one that has been on my list for some time now. The Juice Pro. It was broken and used pretty hard so it is currently being restored by myself.

I voted for the Pulse, but Sideclip,KF4,and Mini all come close.

Funny thing, till a few weeks ago,the Pulse wasn't even on my radar

I'd go for the BO Mini. Others from the list I either have or are not very interesting to me.

Have 9 out of the 10 listed. No silver Charge and do not really want one. The most desirable for me are early PSTs.    :D

Wow, I'm the only one who voted for the Original Wave so far :o  It would probably be a toss up between that and the old PST for me.  A PST and Original Wave are the two retired Leathermans I have left on my wish list (I have managed to acquire a PSTII and Juice Kf4 :D).

Since I am not a collector and only interested in OHO, I choose the Silver Charge. That would be my self queen.

The TTi is the only full-size LM I want right now... so I voted for that.
(I only have a Micra and I just like the smaller LM tools with scissors in place of pliers more....)
I cannot mod.
I cannot trade.

Ill go with the juice kf4. I don't own a juice model........yet. That's the one I would go for to see what all the noise is about.

I really dig the sideclip.  Cant vote from tapatalk tho.  I love my sideclip and it, to me, is pretty close to the most desireable.

Still blown away that even with all the talk on here about the KF4 leatherman hasn't brought it back.  HELLO LEATHERMAN!!!! ITS THE BEST JUICE MODEL!!!!!!!

Definitely my favorite Juice out of the ones I own (KF4, S2 and XE6).  I'm carrying it right now as a matter of fact :)

+1 to that :salute:  I don't understand why it would have been retired in the first place.  I personally would have retired the CS4 out of the two.

Most folks prefer scissors that's why. (LM has yet to make a scissor that remotely compares to vic's 91mm line, the juice scissor sucks imho)

But if they followed that logic then we would have an awl on the wave but that hasn't happened.  The rebar is the first 4 inch tool to have one since the PST.

I should add that I'm really not bashing Leatherman, I love their tools and carry one every day.  I just wish they would go back to how they made tools ten years ago.

Good point on the scissors as I would prefer them too, but like you said, Juice scissors aren't that great.  SAK scissors are much better, and since I carry one, I don't really need scissors on my KF4.  The KF4 is like a smaller version of a Wave really, at least when you compare the outer tools.  Overall they are basically the same thing, just in different sizes.  And no OHO blades or locking tools on the KF4 of course.
