Victorinox 91/93 mm lockblade??
on: March 27, 2013, 02:26:48 PM
Does Victorinox make a 91 or 93 mm locking blade model; something like the Wenger Cascade?
If so, what is the model? If not, why not ???

Not that Ive ever seen.  I'm sure there is a way to mod one, but Vic doesnt make any.
PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

Curses!! Maybe that will be one that Vic keeps in the Wenger line. I hope so.

Hi

Good question, it would be ok with more locking blades. Only Victorinox SwissTools and 111mm slide-lock and 111mm liner-lock got such feature. Also the new Hunter Pro got locking (backlock style).
Then i wonder if the company have experimented with locks before on smaller SAKs?.

The garden SAKs or this range would be better with locks, if i remember correct there was a older knife with a locking type, not sure.

Wenger was early with a 85mm locking blade.

Hope this was helpful :tu:

Yes, I know the Wenger's are 85 mm. I'd just like one a bit larger. I have a 111mm
Vic with the side button lock which I don't like. Just too large and IMHO the button
lock is a bit difficult to work with one hand. I'd really like to see Vic make a 91/93 mm
with a thumb stud and liner lock. To me that would be ideal.

A mod from The SAK Owner's Manual, using the Vic mini-driver to lock the main blade -
As the book says, trust this like you trust a used car salesman:  Count your fingers.
