It has been....
on: July 25, 2013, 02:12:10 AM
It has been 2 days since my last cigarette. It feels great! I'm cranky and craving but I'm hanging strong. I'm in it to win this time. It's hard but I can do it. This will make me feel better, sleep better, and have more money :). I'm so excited.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Congratulations! it took me 5 different attempts and a few long years but when i finally quit smoking i realized how bad does it do to a lot of things you didnt think about, like an impossible to solve back pain i had forever and magically left with the cigarette. Now im lucky and can smoke from time to time when i feel to and doesnt drives me back.

Best of luck and never quit trying  :tu:

Good onya mate !  You can do it, and when the cravings get bad think about how much better off you are without the dreaded "cancer sticks" (and you'll have more $$$ for stuff for your Jeep)  :tu:

yes, I just passed 28 months, and it was easy to quit, because my friends were bumming 3 times the amount I smoked.  it was a financial win,  and a side effect was a healthy win
If I can help, let me know

That's great news Steve :tu:  I had to keep telling myself that if I can make it one day, I can make it another, and another and so on.  I know that early on it's one day at a time, but it does get easier when you realize it's been weeks, and then months since you last smoked.  At that point it seems like there's no real reason why you should ever break down and pick it back up.  I feel that I would let myself and my family and coworkers who were all very proud of me for quitting, and I don't want that feeling.  Good job man :salute:

Way to go folks with the no-smoking. I like tobacco way too much to give up the cigars and to add on to it, a pipe.

Well done Man...quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I've ever done but really worth it, I've been tobacco free since Jan 2004
E cigs are becoming very popular here in the UK, they banned smoking in pubs here and I've noticed more people using E cigs in the pub.

6 days :). Still going strong. There have been moments but I try to think of something else. The urges are getting less and I already feel different.

Kudos to you! I've been smoking for the better part of 20 years. I've tried to quit so many times I've lost count, but I can't seem to have the will power. Good luck!

Awesome job man :tu:  The urges do get less frequent, especially as the days/weeks turn to months.  Just stay strong when the urges do come.  As long as you have no immediate/easy access to them, the urge will pass before you can get one in your hand.  That's helped me for sure.
