Triangular Victorinox Scale Logo
on: September 29, 2013, 03:43:54 AM
I tried searching first, but if the answer is already here, I could not find it.

What is the history of this logo  (just a random pic from internet)

I bought a celluloid Vic off ebay and while I was waiting I was curious about the logo.

the one I bought is here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Victorinox-Weekender-Swiss-Army-Knife-/281170649547?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=2GviVbsWInTvH6lKYxqwyTu4FWs%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

it has a non-fluted cork-screw and the reamer has an eye for sewing, so I know it is not that old.

If I can help, let me know

That's an Elinox Shield and those are Economy scales in the auction picture. A cheaper line Victorinox did a while back.

are the tools cheaper, or just the scales and stuff?  I know what the term economy means, but not sure what Victorinox did to call them Economy

Thanks!

Talking from memory here so some things might be a bit off, but I think the tools weren't as polished and the scales on them were a bit cheaper and didn't have the T&Ts. It was an attempt I think to draw the people in with cheaper models. :D

Thank you!

it is amazing how much info about SAKs is out there, but how spread out it is.

It is also very interesting how many things I cannot find.

oh, well, I still have not finished reading the book you just bought.  maybe I should finish that first.  thank you again for your help
