Aha.
You bidded lower than the asking price again...
Good score! :D

The same seller once sold a TTI for €35, which I missed by 5 minutes :(

It is nice to see a tool like your 800. God knows how much money that tool, thorough its' life, has earned people. Not to mention serving you so well!

A well earned relief for your 800 with the new CD taking its' place. :)

Thanks guys
It was about time for a change now, that MP800 has seen a lot of use :tu:
My most used tool next to my PSTII :like:
I gifted it to a co worker so it will still see some use and I will probably have to sharpen it on occasion :tu:
Now we will se if the Center Drive will take the same beating

As of now the only Gerber I own are two, new in clamshell old school Multipliers. One is blunt nose, the other is needle nose. Haven’t seen any others new in clamshell for a while now. I haven’t really been looking to be honest though.

Great score! I like the sheath too. I suppose these are actually isued with that sheath. When I got the damaged example I had purchased secondhand back from Gerber, they only gave me the basic black pancake Velcro belt sheath. I do find a 9mm handgun magazine pouch fits it quite well.

... and today, made my first two mods:
-reduced handle splay. This is more for function than anything else 'cause I have somewhat small hands. Now it fits comfortably in-hand, and I find the parallel(ish) handles reminiscent of the MP series with pliers deployed. Using a carbide bit with a Dremel, I ground aprox. 1.5-2mm from the pliers end stop (where the handle's "tongue" slips into), thus retaining the closing snap.
-polished clip. This was just for some bling.

So far I'm liking it A LOT, even more so than my almost-priced-the-same LTG Rev. The Rev have a better fit and finish, better pliers (IMHHO), and I even prefer its file, the NXT gives me more-bang-for-bucks; I only wished the pivot bolts weren't so "buttery" ( even after warming it with a soldering iron, I was able to strip one of the pliers').
Hre are two bonus shots: the deployed pliers with the stripped pivot visible , and the tool closed after mod. :woohoo:

That's an awesome mod Juan and a shape that makes a LOT more sense.  :hatsoff:
