Mostly for comfort and grip since I have somewhat smallish hands, but thanks Hevy!

I have big hands, but don't like great splay.
Your mod fixed my biggest complain.

I guess since Fiskars originally sold it, it uses the Multiplier's patents, and Fiskars owns Gerber it's technically a Gerber, right?

Fiskars Excalibur.

I love the design. Good drivers, outside accesible blade, and absolutely awesome scissors. These aren't "clip coupons, your fingernails, and tape" scissors--these are cut brush, leather, rope, tree limbs, zip-ties, etc. all while still being sharp and precise enough to cut paper. They're too heavy to cut my fingernails, however. Like cutting hair with a weed whacker kind of precise.

I like it so well, I bought a Hanwei Professional. Same design, just a different company selling it. I think it's even made in the same factory.

Shortcut came in the other day. Didn’t even know that Gerber made these, so when i stumbled over one, i thought i give it a try. So far i like it. Made a lanyard for it so i could still carry a toothpick.

Also changed the flat screwdriver since i don’t need it on this tool. Turned it into an awl.

It works pretty well as a package and clamshell opener, and also for making pilot holes in wood  :tu:

It is an interesting concept, and it checked all the boxes for a minimum around-the-house carry, so I gave it a shot  :tu:

Neat concept. Are you now going after the Clutch?

No, don’t really need mini pliers. I liked the idea with the scissors in their place though, that is why I went with the Shortcut.

A couple of FLiks!
And a couple of questions.
Why is the lock spring so strong? I cannot open the blades one-handed. There is too much resistance, and not much leverage, because the thumb-holes not too grabby.
Why are the lock tabs so sharp? Combined with the ridiculously strong lock spring, I unlock one thing, and my fingers go numb.

I do not remember seeing these issues mentioned in any Flik review I saw.

Fix the issues I had.
Some adjustment and WD40 for the pivots, and I rounded off the edges of the locking tab nubs.
Much better.
