Vic Soldier £26 on Amazon
on: December 07, 2013, 09:34:09 AM
Victorinox Soldier (2008, 111mm version) £26 on amazon.co.uk.  That's the cheapest I've seen it anyway.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Victorinox-0-8461-MWCH-Swiss-Soldiers-Knife/dp/B002H3WAU6/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1386404783&sr=8-16&keywords=victorinox

It's actually out of stock at the moment but due in on 13 December.

Don't Fret.
Amazon nearly always lists the soldier at around that price mark.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Tosh I think between the both of us we do a pretty good job of covering the UK amazon site. Also as we both live in the same city I recon we must do interesting things to there geographical demographics!

We can live in hope!   :D  I've checked further down the page and the description is definitely for the new Soldier.  I've been looking for a few months and it's always cost about £30-£33 when I've checked up till now.

No Worries, I've been wanting a GAK for a while, I went serrated.

I seem to have less of a problem with them than some people do  :pok:

I can't really be trusted with anything 'sharp' (ish)
it's possible i'd be better suited to stamp collecting
had a problem with a 'pen' I got for my birthday last week, took it apart to see how it worked (you know how it goes  ::)) and the spring managed to 'fire' the innards across the room, almost killing the cat and ricocheting off the TV screen. needless to say the wife wasn't impressed, specially as I can't find all bits and haven't actually written anything with the damn think yet

keep us up todate on your purchase, pics would be nice  ;)

No risk of cutting yourself! The main blade on mine is Smurfed.

I'll try to get some photo's of it later, I suspect the PE version is a serrated that's been sharpened too many times.

I guess it's my first project knife

looks to me like 'someone' has sharpened that in some form of 'sharpener', like a tungsten carbide 'V' sharpener (maybe a 'pocket-pal'?)

I was thinking the same, I may see if I can get it to PE without loosing too much.

If that doesn't work then it gets modded.

It's a pity, everything else is in pretty reasonable condition

Hmm...

I wonder if we didn't know that the PE was just a SE with the serrations ground off if we'd mind?
Thinking of getting one for a friend of mine.
