Found a LEATHERMAN K503X NEW

Not in the market but it was my birthday and I love a deal... hadn't seen one of these for awhile and it is perfect! At around $50 even more perfect. Anyone remember when these where introduced? 2006-7? The leather sheath was worth half the $50:)

Great buy there--- I have a k502x and it's fantastic. Solid handle, grippy, great blade, nice minimalist toolset. I'm jealous of the sheath, though, mine is the basic nylon one.

When the knives came out for the first time they were at a higher price point and quality level. They must not have sold well... they also came out with less expensive versions and those must have done better since they chose that direction downward in quality. I see very few of the originals. Especially the Kalamath etc.

Lucky. There was a time I "needed" one (with bit holder and clip) and couldn't find any.

It's surprising LM doesn't sell any knives that have the bit driver feature...looks like I'll be searching...I just saw an auction for an H503 sell for $47.50 last night...

I saw an H503 NIB in a Coastal Farm and Ranch near me just last week... I didn't snag it because I already have one. It was selling for $29.99 I think.
