Gerber Fit on Closeout at Target! Prices vary!!
on: January 13, 2014, 10:55:46 PM
Bought a Gerber Fit at Target in Jacksonville, NC for $17.49!! Store in Raleigh had it for $27.99, and a store in Wake Forest had it for $19.99!  Great deal if you can get one below $20.00. I use mine every day at work. Best multitool of its kind with a flashlight!!  :D

Not much to show. It is still in real good shape. I am a computer technician, so it gets used working on laptops, cutting open boxes, using the light under tables, etc. I keep it in a holster on my belt that was designed for a LED lenser light that I no longer have. It only shows minor wear. What does yours look like and what do you use it for?  >:D

The whole sad story is here
http://forum.multitool.org/gerber-tools/kirks-long-term-fit-ness-test/

I just read most of that, thank you! I will agree with you on a lot of points you make. I have got excellent service out of the bit driver. The Phillips bit does very well on all laptops I have used it on. I have not used the small Phillips too much, so I cannot really comment. The blade is mediocre, but for what I need it for, it works. Actually, using a blade to cut cardboard dulls it real quick. I have not had that problem with the small tools opening a whole lot when the bit driver or blade is open. It is not a world class quality tool, but it is decent. The thing is, there is just nothing to really compare it to. I wanted a multitool with a flashlight that used a standard battery, not button cells. Nobody that I am aware of makes one. I would gladly pay more if Leatherman made one, but I guess this configuration is not in great demand.
