Any flashlight experts out there is this silicone grease safe to use to lubricate threads and orings?

Also what other tips to you guys have for taking care and maintaining our lights?

I would personally recommend using synthetic PTFE (teflon) grease, like "Super Lube." It's non-toxic, odorless, and it's 100% rubber and silicone safe.

That's what I use on all my lights. Great stuff.

It most certainly is.  That is exactly what I use for all my orings--same brand and packaging.  I don't recommend PTFE, as it is a petroleum product and, due to that fact, I'm not convinced that it's compatible with all o-ring materials.

I've used a PTFE product from Radio Shack called "Super Lube" in a pen dispenser, and it has caused some of my o-rings to swell.

Sounds like it will work great then.  I think the oil base in mine must be petroleum.

A few years ago I used to be big on paintball. So, I have this lube that is for O rings and it works great on flashlights..

On average, how often should you use that stuff on your lights?

Whenver needed, really.  If you use your flashlights in dusty, dirty or wet environments, the o-rings should be cleaned and lubed more regularly than "normal".  I clean and lube the o-rings in my EDC light about once a month, but that is probably overkill.  You should be able to store an unused flashlight nearly indefinitely with no cleaning or lubing needed.
