Very, very cool even for a EDC SAK not just one to take on flights with you. I have a feeling the awl might get it confiscated as well as the scissors even though the scissors are within the "legal" length. Only one way to find out though.  :pok:  :D

Great work!  :tu:

Thanks Cap!

I'll make a separate post about it so we can discuss further.

No idea. It's fun, like dangerous Lego but I am still not super sold on the idea of carrying a SAK. I never liked the blade shape and general looseness in the pocket thing.

I used the pin stock from the Swiss champ to do this and I need to get more pin stock to maybe make something else.

I have toyed with the idea of making just the single opener layer (cap lifter/can opener) with a backsprung Philips to complement my china fork&spoon hobo CAK (blade removed) for international flights out of Sydney. The way I see it, cheap & disposable, if I'm feeling rich I'd go the scissor layer. Another cool thing if your worried about the can opener is to grind of the 'beak' so you have a straight flat screwdriver, if you do it right you will still have a sharp edge on one side for cutting string etc

I have forgotten a descaled victorinox bantam countless times on domestic flights. I really need to stop being such a irresponsible citizen in that respect. Eventually my luck will run out.

Everything is TSA discretion, even if it says it's okay on their website if the person that is checking your stuff decides it's not then you can't take it even if you have a print out of the website :(

Metro, don't let them steal your stuff!

Yup. Either carry a self addressed stamped envelope to put it in and mail it back to your house or to your destination (most airports (used to?) have mail boxes in them or find a good hiding spot on the outside of security and be ready if they turn you away. My PS4 spent a week in a paper towel dispenser in an airport bathroom the day after they SUPPOSEDLY started allowing small, non-locking blades. Yeah right! They do whatever they damn well please!
