Thanks Gareth. I'm more of a Leatherman guy, so this is new to me. Does Gerber date stamp? Is the Multi-Plier an older tool?
I threw a bid out and won this on the bay. Can anyone identify this one? This is the only pic the seller had.
Here's the thread I was thinking of: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,17190.0.html Seems my memory hasn't quite failed me yet.

This is the only pic the seller had. That looks like a blunt nose version 5 Mr Pinchy to me, as it has the beefier blunt nose pliers, rivets instead of button head screws for the sliders, and round nut for the tool pivots. There was also a needle nose variation (the first time Gerber offered it in their full size MT).It will most likely have US PATENT, 5142721, 5212844, PAT PEND" stamped on the handles.
I would compare length and weight to an ST300.
Na, the Multi-Plier is much more of a 4" tool, think Rebar for rough scale.

Also, who started calling these Mr. Pinchy?
Thanks for the warning. I will probably still pinch myself though. I'm excited to check this thing out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So Enki started it all. Isn't he a Leatherman Mod?
A slightly earlier (04-02-12) post here: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,36664.msg588700.html#msg588700 buy our very own Tom. certainly known as "Pinchy" before that, but this is the earliest reference to "Mr Pinchy" I could find.
