Nice mod chewbacca. I like the use of the 2nd blade to have a suitable backspring for the Phillips.  :like:

Thanks much guys.  I wish I had a serrated large blade.  If I ever come across a broken down Weekender/Rainier/Matterhorn/McKinley for cheap I will definitely do another two blade layer build.

One more to show off.  This is a Troubleshooter that I built for a buddy who (unfortunately) is a Chicago Bears fan.  ???

Donors were a Deluxe Tinker and a file layer from a Ranger.  Orange scale was from a color twin Spartan combined with one new sapphire PLUS scale.

Hi guys!
I'm not a fan of the nail file, although I can understand why many people like it. So I thought I could turn it into something more useful.
I used my Dremel 3000 to cut the tip, and then added an edge chisel grind, leaving a bit untouched to be able to choke on the blade without out cutting my self.
Then I used the Spyderco Triangle Sharpmaker for a bit of sharpening, and here is the result.
I chose a tanto style tip, because I can use the long edge as a knife, the small edge as a scrapper, and the tip, when held upside down as clam shell package opener (push cutting). The other tip is good for draw cutting.
It needs a bit of touch up of course.

^^^ Interesting! - Nice!
Make sure you use the right side - if you do use the nail file as a nail file !!  :pok:

Took a page out of Jaya_man's book and his Jalox, but with a twist.
This really is a great combination of tools!
The pruner blade needed a little trimming to fit opposite to the Phillips. Other than that it worked out pretty cool!

Merry Xmas every1!!

That is fantastic!  Is the opener next to the pruner blade a combo tool?

Got a bit tired of the blue scales.
Took the sak apart and polished the scales to show the raw titanium. Was going to heat anodize them to a different color, but decided to leave it like this for a while!
I quite like it!

i didn't even notice the 1/4" hex drive cutout on the scale initially.  Very nice.  I love when people add that extra utility to their tools.

That is a spectacular set of tools.

Dismantled a Wenger PTC with the intention of adding the awl and eye-glass sd to my minichamp edc...

But that will happen when I have more free time... The wenger tools needs shortening, shaping and relocating the pivot hole...

Rather than letting the remaining tools get unused, I made a custom 65mm... Wenger Rogue?

Sounds like a great way to get extra tools like scissors without adding more layers.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)
