Helping the forum
on: July 10, 2014, 06:14:21 AM
Really appreciate this forum guys, wish I could help out $$ wise. That being said, I'm tight on cash after that drunk rear ended me until insurance starts paying me. So best I can do is say thank you to everyone on this forum! This forum has helped me and taught me a lot about MT's. It has also gotten in the dog house with the lady a few times lol.

Thanks again guys!
Josh

Welcome! Thinking one way I could help, is making a how to for modding a wave or charge.. As in the several modded waves I have. I would be willing to make a how to on doing the following to a wave...

Swapping to rebar head
swapping in s30v blade
swapping in gut hook blade
swapping in awl
grinding scissors down or removing them totally
smoothing out sharp edges on entire tool
and making sure tool functions smooth and closes completely.

Has this been done, and would it be worth it?

Josh

I am sure some/all of that has been done, but that does not mean it has not fallen victim to being too old to easily find.

In my opinion, any "how-to" that you do is a great help to the forum.  If it helps one person, it has been a success.  and extra copies of how-to's also provide proof that it does not have to be a modding expert to do a certain task.
If I can help, let me know

Like Detron said, no mod or owner, but thanks for the comment,, I kinda had a similar situation, and this place has saved me a few times, just hasn't saved the wallet, and has had effect on the old lady, but not just in a bad way either! JR

Josh,we've all been there at one time or another. About 18months ago, this place was about the only refuge, and place of sanity I was allowed to find!

I'm sure a step by step how to guide would be very welcome, and a handy reference for all forumites present and future. I know whenever I do a SAK mod,I have Gareth's guide very close to hand!
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!
