LOL, ok. Didn't realize you had a pile of raw parts, I thought you threw that together from some other knife you were currently working on.

And yes, I think the grey mag / long driver switchover was around 2007 area. I'm less concerned about that, since the new shorter driver is good enough and leaves more space for other options. The catch stop is a little weird, but that can be ground down easily enough if need be.

The scissor spring is a lot narrower than the phillips though, right? Would that still work reliably?

2.4mm is what I get for a scissors back spring.

So 2.75 for the phillips vs 2.4 for the spring.  Based on your measurements for the saw/file, I guess .1mm is normal, but this is like .35mm. I don't really know a lot about metallurgy or metal stress tolerances, would a difference that large cause problems long term? (If I'm going to go through the effort of building this damn thing, I'd like it to last a good decade).
