One of the last tasks for the waiter is to unwrap his new tougher big brother from his blister pack.

Decided the Nylon toughness would work for a camping companion and used a local retailers online promo to really score it at the right price.

So, tomorrow I will do the draw for the winner of the Spirit.  I'm also going to do a "consolation" prize drawing for the Wenger Premier, as I doubt I'll ever want to use it again  :P

So, I went back through the thread and modified one of the lists to show the people who entered the challenge and removed those who did not want to be included in the drawing.  I then numbered the list.

My plan is to use random.org to pick the two numbers sometime tomorrow.

Here is the list:

1   Higgins617
2   SAK Guy
3   eddie1115
4   ducttapetech
5   Toolslinger
6   Hyatt181
7   colt 1911

I will be doing end of the month. It's been surprising how little I've been able to get away with a compact.
But will be looking forward to carrying my cyber34 and a farmer or cadet or explorer or modified explorer mechanic combo or custom alox electrician or whatever accept a compact.

Two prizes! This is icing on the cake. I've really enjoyed the challenge though I see that others haven't been so fortunate and have started edc'ing barbed wire. Whatever next?

Anyway, please take me off that list. I know shocking, E never sits out GAWs. But I'm well supplied with Swiss Made MT/SAKs and would like this pretty boy and his little sister to go to someone else.

Good luck everybody

I'm glad that I was able to join up in this challenge, and make it all the way through without having to cheat!  It was hard not to stray, but my OC red Pioneer held strong, and the might of the SAK helped me stay true.

Thanks for the chance, and good luck to all!!

I have had some fun with this. I am also glad it is almost over. I have learned that minimalism does not work. Does not work for me anyways. I failed the light challenge tons of times. Only failed the tool challenge once. The Compact, while a nice SAK, has not been able to handle a lot of jobs that I came across. It will still get some pocket time when I get some new scales for it. Just want to add, thanks again Colt!

Well... It is clear that what I said could potentially have different meanings, but either my English skills aren't good enough or I'm too tired to see it. I hate to ask, but could somebody please explain the joke to me?

It's been fun and I love the Pioneer, but I do love having the other parts of my daily Kit on me. Leatherman Classic, a traditional (usually a Stockman) and then the Pioneer or Farmer. :)

+1  I'm thinking of adding a Trad stockman and multilayer SAKs to my EDC bag on Sat...oh and a big GEC 23. :D

One more day, folks! For me anyway. Didn't know it was a minimal light challenge, although that doesn't really affect the Fenix E01 I've had on my pocket for two or three years now. I did change my normal one out for a new one, because the old one was starting to flicker and sputter, and generally becoming unreliable.

Guess what, I've got kinda mixed feelings about putting my Jelly Red Spartan away for a bit... working in an office this, and my Foxy Classic, have been fine ... but the temptation to EDC something else is going to lead to instant choice overload and quite a few changes of mind (and that's just on Nov 1st !)  :)

Yep, its over, wasn't all that bad, helped me define what I really need. Apparently I'm good with the Midnight Manager Flashlight, but the 58mm combo tool is not enough Phillips for me and the blade is also not up to the task.

Now I'm considering to combine the Midnight Manager with a SkeleTool. At any rate, it was an informative challenge, thanks for beating us into doing it :tu:

Its been a great learning experience, I would normally have hopped between knives and lights and not appreciated what you actually need.
I missed the Phillips and scissor capability, made do with the eyeglass screwdriver for a very small screw and the blade was used to cut tags and bindings that would have been easier with a scissors.

Add a scissors to the waiter while going to 91mm and its a compact (I got one during the month) and I'll put a manager on my keys or security tags to give a better small Philips capability.
I have ordered a Super Tinker and a true utility corkscrew to achieve the same load-out.
