I have a bunch of Sak duplicates, just because I've found them super cheap at the flea markets.

None. 8) Ok, I do have six Pioneers/Soldiers, but they're not the same as each other - they're all subtly different.

Lots of spares of everything. I lost all my SAK collection but one in a fire and don't ever want to feel that way again. That's one reason.

On my ALOX, I have emergency/wildfire/bad weather gear bags/packs and each has a Soldier w/ a kydex necker along with other SAKs like a Swiss Champ or 111mm Herc/Trekker. Usually include a small fixed blade like a Mora 510/511/546 or a bigger USMC Ka-bar pattern knife in the bags as well.

Celldor dupes were either bulk buys or very cheap off the bay.

I have several duplicates.

I first I had duplicates of is the 108mm Mauser.

I bought one about 20 years ago. I don't why but when I got home that day and after a second inspection I liked it so much I decided I needed a duplicate. I think I was unconsciously turning into a collector right there and then.

After that I had duplicates of Classics, Ramblers, Climbers and Explorers in different places just to have them handy.

Then last winter while visiting the non official Vic store in Westfarms Mall in Connecticut I bought a bunch of back-up SAKs as they were closing down for good and had some great prices and unique pieces.

Now, and after joining this forum (yes, I blame you all for this) back in June, I've been formally collecting SAKs. When possible, I now buy three pieces of each new SAK. One as a user and one for each of my two sons' collection (you see, I found a nice excuse).

I have 2 small tinkers.

I got the Swisschamps in Vics SOS kits,  Single and Dual Leather Sheaths.  I got the Minichamps in a lot buy off fleabay. The Tinkers I  picked up at the Fleamarket as well as the Spartans.

I want to get another Explorer Plus and New mag glass Swisschamp since mine are all the old version.

My EDC is a Wenger Traveler. After the announcement that Wenger was deceased, I picked up a couple of spares to have on hand.

Few Cadets, few Ramblers, few Wenger Travelers. The ones I like the most and carry the most and I love to have backups in case anything should happen to the EDCd one.

Merely two Dual Pro X's and two One Handed Trekker's (non serrated); though have now given one Dual Pro X away. Motivation is purely to keep a spare so I do not feel bad beating the everyday one senseless.

I've got five Cadets for some reason.  I knew of four, but one day I go and open a drawer to grab one and there are five!  I think they're mating......

The Alox Farmer is my favorite and I have 5 of them, 1 Silver ( Workhorse, EDC ) 1 Blue ( Safe Queen ) 3 Orange ( Safe Queens )

I definately will keep the Blue one in the safe but eventually will rotate 1 Orange into carry duty.

if this is true you will never have to buy a cadet again! Maybe you can add a farmer or electrician and see what comes out?

Bah to that idea.

I have to many different SAKs I need to get before extras come into play.

If there was any chance the Compact model was going away I would consider picking up a back up.

I guess I have duplicates of some models...

That's very nice. If I was ever going to collect it would be a Swisschamp with various scales.

These are all Recruits except the turquoise one that has a nailfile so technically it's a Cadet

The Cadet is something on my someday list.

Great light carry tool load out with the blade opening layer and handy for me nail cleaner.

As far as actual duplicates go, I have 3 Climbers, 3 Campers, 2 Compacts, 2 Swisschamps, 6 Explorers, 2 Rangers, 2 CT34s, Several Spartans, 2 Lumberjacks, 3 small Tinkers, 3 Tourists, 7 Cadets (various colours so not really dup's), 10 M1961 Soldiers (but all different years), about 25 non military 93mm Alox in a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 layers in 6 different colours and a mix of Old Cross and New Shield.

Wenger does too many "Almost the same, but not quite" variations for me to even figure that out.

I won't count mod fodder SAKs because they will mostly end up with fancy scales and no longer be duplicates.

I can stop ANY time I want to...
