Are you guys still having to heat up the screws to loosen up the loctite when using this wrench? I would like to skip this if I can so I don't over heat and mess up the tempering?

Pat

Yes.

A few seconds over a lighter wont mess up the tempering.

Thank you for explaining that! I had no idea how much heat it takes to loosen it up. How does a black oxide finish hold up against a few seconds of open flame? I'm guessing just fine, but just want to be sure.

Thanks,

Pat

Loki:

Is there a way to contact you outside of PM?  I just joined because of this thread and am unable to PM yet.

It looks like you have an eBay presence, too.  but no listings at the moment.

Thanks

These wrenches are great.

I've found a little tip that if you put a piece of scotch tape down over the screw heads, it's thin enough to not effect the comparability, but it protects your tool from scratches during the wrenching or modding process.

It's "Jungle"! Kinda like an army green or OD I guess. Not sure. It's amazing tho  :D

Just fine tuning it. The pliers were super tight and so were the tools. But with lokis wrenches I was able to get it perfect!

New member....It looks like I have to make 5 posts to buy the lite tool. I have six of the original leatherman supertools. I repair x-ray machines and have always been a mechanic. It has taken me 20 years of daily use,and now I only have one with all the parts in good shape (most have broken tips). I want to buy the lite tool so I can use two of the broken ones to fix the other three. I started with Gerber tool, but it didn't hold up. went to leatherman supertool in the 90's. I liked it so much I told my kids to buy me one for several birthdays. When I got to four, I told them I didn't need any more (my mistake). I inherited back the two I bought for my father in law and dad. They used them in their fishing tackle boxes. I will attach picture in next post. thank you, Leo
