Sunrise over our back yard, yesterday morning. Every once in awhile, nature just shocks me with her beauty.
One guy suggested carrying a hanky in my pocket on top of the knife; that keeps it from falling out, and the hanky has a lot of utility too. I tried that, but I've had a hard time making a habit of it. It's something I might put in my messenger bag that I carry daily... Kid has a runny nose, makeshift bandage, optics cleaning cloth, emergency napkin... they really have a million uses, if you think about it. Carrying a hanky is an old custom that seems to be fading. What do you think? Do you carry a handkerchief? If not, why not? Too many MTs and not enough room left?
I did for a while this summer, it was really nice since I'm not used to central/south European summer weather (i.e. I was sweating a lot!). It also found uses at other times like when the bathroom only has those really inefficient air-dryers that takes for ever. I kind of stopped since I don't have the pocket space and because it's hard to find nice hankies around here (except for silk ones for a suit pocket), the one I got was meant as a bandana and triangular.

They're are nicer than bandannas, but not as nice as silk. Quite reasonably priced too! Plain white cotton, so they can be bleached when they start to look scummy.
