Me too, I'm a sucker for green alox. Looks a little different than the recent +B olive with red shield. Like you said, we'll see. Besides, I'm down to 1 Farmer and I should have at least 2.  :P  :ahhh

Most of the time alox color of the same knife looks different in any given picture, but I would say those are two different colors.

Hmm... I had based my statement on the model numbers listed in the DLT website, which are exactly the same as CS. But yes, actual colour might vary between different batches of the same model number. Like the 2 shades of orange from CS.

The DLT ones look closer to the olive description than the ones from CS which were closer to the dark green Farmers that Felinevet ordered for us.

Interesting. If the model number is exactly the same then I would assume it should be the same batch then.

By early and late are you referring to the first batch and second batch from CS? If so are the model numbers the same? If the model numbers are the same I would assume Victorinox did a new color for the second batch and it came out a slightly different shade.

For the CS orange alox, I cant really remember if there was any model number indicated on the sticker that held the box flap in place and there's no way for me to check, now that I had removed all of the stickers. But i am quite sure there were no visible distinction between the stickers of the two batches. Because that was why I didn't realise that the two farmers I had were different until I read about it here in MTO.

They could all be the same as the CS runs.
But i've bought one of each anyway.  ;)

This was my recollection as well, same numbers and yes Cap, 1st and 2nd runs, :tu:

Well, this discussion prompted me to check these out at DLT...and I bought my first Farmer, the green one!    :tu:

Not sure if I'll carry it to stash it away yet with my keepers.

I was hoping they'd be a lighter shade of green but who can complain for the price. Ordered some especially engraved blades.  8) Glad to see the alox knives are sticking around it seems.

I did. I just received mine today - one of each color - and much to my surprise (completely forgot of that detail since) I got a NIP old stock Wenger Patriot with a Wenger inscription on the other side - the old Wenger logo "Suisse" over a crossbow and "WENGER Since 1893 The Genuine Swiss Army Knife". So not just any Wenger Patriot - I had several of those already - but an old one and with the cool scale design. Sorry, no photo.

With a ring of course plus a little sleeve these SAKs usually come in.

My three farmers arrived today! I couldn't decide on which color I wanted so I ended up buying one of each (orange, olive green, and copper). I'll take a picture of all three along with my orange pioneer for comparison.
