Just the screw? Get a Rebar, use the screw and plier head (and awl if you like) to upgrade your Wave.

Lots of metal filing/sawing: Definitely the Surge
Mostly blade: Charge for the OHO blade with higher quality steel
Lots of different bit sizes but fairly infrequent: LM with bit kit (small package)
Lots and often of different bit sizes on rusty screws: Vic with bit kit (standard bits are easier to replace)
All tools are used often Spirit for its all outside tools

Other factors:
Tool should be rust resistant: Spirit
Work in oily-slippery conditions: LM


Rebar? Are those plier screws or rivets? I really don't know, never had a rebar, but on pictures they look like rivets, but im willing to try just to save a wave life....

Rebar uses screws and posts. Could always pick up a cheap used Wave on the bay for the parts. Both would be the best.

Why don't you just go to home depot to find a screw? It won't look perfect, but I bet it would be functional, and much cheaper than parting a rebar. Just take the wave to the hardware store, find a screw that threads into the wave, and cut the length to fit

Actually, I have a couple screws left over from a sidekick mod... ill check if they fit a wave tonight, and send it on over to ya if it does

I actually went to home depot , nothing fit and the only thing that worked was some aluminum post and screw that snapped the very next morning on first job :facepalm: :oops: :twak:

Good news, the Sidekick screw fits, and completely covers the blades pivot hole. It looks like they are close to the same length, just a different style of "button" on top.

So an update:
Found a decent used Surge which i received a couple days ago, (fairly huge, but cool, handles are rough when using pliers) Rebar on its way (going to use screw/posts and plier head to repair my raiders wave) also couldn't help it, charge is on it's was as well........ What y'all think???
