I  got a couple of new knives, purely for their looks.

For the doughnut coloured one I included  a photograph from another shop selling them. to show the variants.
The one I got was the small one, which is not tiny, about a three finger grip for pen, perfect full grip for women, their most likely target group.

This XL Old Bear knife was a present from friend who makes fishing rods. He varnished, several cots the handle and it looks very shiny.

I have included a comparison photograph with another one with the original handle as it comes from the factory

I always liked the Solingen backlocks (Robert Klaas, Diefenthal, Puma), but was often disappointed with the sloppy fit and finish. This Böker scout is completely perfect though, here with some other bigger traditionals

Nice group! I missed out on most of the older, more vibrant color choices for the Slim Selects, but I think I'll spring for the nail-nick Pro, simply because it looks better than the version most people get that don't have the stud and it's $75. Guessing Buck intended to sell these in Europe, and just ended up selling them here.

Stopped at local Rural King checking for Black Oil Seed for my bird feeders. Checked the knife display and found this for a bargain, under $17!   My new mini kitchen cleaver…

I picked up my 1st Sow Belly last week.  I have a fondness for the Stockman pattern, and feel for the handle’s shape of the SB and the blades sealed the affair for a great new whittling tool.

the two centre knives are new (other two for comparison). I really liked the Robert Klaas backlocks, but the fit and finish was so unreliable I gave up on them. Finally I have some that haven't disappointed.  :ahhh

The latest fix to my vintage pen-knife habit; nice and solid Taylor Eye Witness.  Needs a bit of TLC but it has a quality feel to it.
