Here's mine.

Tool stuff:

Olight i1R (original). Small but bright.
Buck 283 Nano Bantam. Cheap to replace, and American made. Good quality too.
Nite Ize Doohickey. Soon to be replaced by the modern version of the Proto J-100. I only use it as a prybar anyway. I prefer though, how the Doohickey has an integral carabiner.

Keyring--old advertising item for a Western boot manufacturer; which I was given long ago by a family friend who managed a local farm supply store. Makes my keys pretty easy to spot. This one, unlike the yellow one from the community college I attended, is flexible, and less likely to break.

Carabiner--bought years ago. It is a cheaper carabiner, but quite strong. It has been used as makeshift rigging when dragging some trees off a fence with a UTV, and the worst thing that happened was some of the camo finish wore off. I am thinking about  trying a locking climbing carabiner--but if it aint' broke, don't fix it!

I drive a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500, so no huge keyfob. Just a basic old-school ignition/lock key that I can replace cheaply. One key got lost (the spare), and it was like $4 to get a new one made at a hardware store, NOT the dealer!. The one to the 2015 Escape is $350!

Today, as most days, I have a Victorinox Manager and Nail Clip, Leatherman Squirt and Fenix E01.  No matter what else I carry, I gotta have on me a Victorinox scissors and pen, along with a flat and phillips driver.

Nice  :like:

I can't carry much on my keys (certainly not a MiniChamp) lest I lose it when I go to work (Heathrow)  ::) >:(

My is an Alox Classic, but yes, I totally understand. If I were working in a restricted area, I’d ditch the knife and keep the LM.

Alox Classic (my bad :-[ )

Mrs Surge has carried her classic through as a passenger with no issues (twice)

The irony is that I can carry my Surge and Lock Knife as "Gov' issued kit" but my key holder is personal and subject to the same rules as anyone else (fair enough)

LHR (and all UK airports) are very strict on what you can and can't bring in (staff are subject to the same rules as passengers)
If you need something for your job you'll need a tool pass or Ministerial exemption*

I'm not prepared to risk my SAKs when I don't need them for my job (might also lead to disciplinary proceedings  :ahhh

* This is my get out for "official" pointy things  :tu:

I try to stay minimalist, Manager is the only gadget and it really takes care of almost anything. I think some kind of flashlight is a must but want zero redudancy in my pockets, I also have a wallet and a phone, that light should be enough (anyway, I have a torch in my backpack).

- Victorinox Clip
- Bicycle lock key (with Victorinox Decoupler)
- Manager (with Victorinox Decoupler)
- 3 house keys
- Contactless condo key

I attach the clip through the belt loop instead of belt because I find it much more comfortable that way. Anyway if I am in a formal situation and do have a belt, I use it as it should be because it looks a million times better. In both cases everything goes into my pocket, nothing hanging.

Those decouplers are a-ma-zing. I can't love them more, they are fast, easy, small, cute, reliable and allow me to take out the thing right from my pocket.

In my backpack I have two split rings with car key, garage key and the small carabineer that came with the Vic clip. If I go out in the car but without a backpack (it's extremely rare) I do attach this secondary to the main keychain.

Olight i1R2E0S,  SAK Classic SD, car fob and 4 keys on a small split ring.

Items are attached to a Lucky Line Twisty by locking S Biners.

Sutuationally I will add a Fox 40 micro whistle,  a Doohickey,  roll of duct tape, Micra, mini Sharpie,  Shard,  etc.

Just keys and a flashlight on my keychain. I just traded in a car with a basic key that cost $5 for a replacement at the hardware store (15 Nissan Versa Note).
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Ive been carrying an advertising swag flashlight that someone gave to me.  You know.... I couldn't be happier  :dunno:

I haven't had a flashlight on my keys in several years.  The button on my last one became wonky and I could never decide on a replacement.  In the meantime, I adjusted my habits to live without one.  Admittedly I used my phone's light once in a blue moon (and even then, at times that I wouldn't have my keys on me anyway)

Sometimes... it's the simple things.  This little flashlight is more narrow than the ones Ive carried on my keys in the past.  Besides the brightness, the form factor and near weightlessness makes me very satisfied with what I've got now.

When that gives up the ghost on you, it sounds like you'd enjoy a Photon Microlight, it's basically a high quality squeeze light like you carry now, but with an added little switch for constant on if needed.  :tu:

The Photon was similar to what I had before.  This freebee has 3 LEDs and a tail switch to toggle on and off like the Photon II.   :like:
