As for me, once again I am fascinated by the fiberglass cast and I have been thinking that some fiberglass mesh might be a worthy addition to a bug out bag and/or FAK. In addition to being able to instantly immobilize large injuries I can see it having a lot of benefits for on site/off the cuff repairs to equipment or even as a building material. The stuff they used today came in a foil pack and was ready to use. The doctor simply wrapped it around my leg and in a few minutes it was hardened and dry and I was on my way. I can see a lot of potential for a product like that in emergency type situations- no glues, no heat, no special treatment necessary.Def
Some good news today- I finally got one of my two empty apartments rented. I still need to find someone for the other apartment as well, but for now this takes a HUGE strain off of dear ol' Def. I can't really relax yet, but I certainly have some serious breathing room now that I didn't have before. And, one week from tomorrow I go to take this stupid cast off, and although I still won't be allowed to walk on it, I will at least be able to wear pants again and not have to hang one leg out of the tub when I shower or bathe! And maybe I'll even be able to sleep again!Def
Great news boss.
