loki-mobile, are you able to get a replacement file for a Leatherman Crunch? If so, how much would that cost? Thank you.

There is no file for crunch in stock. I will not disassemble the multitool due to one file.

Thanks. Do you have any replacement tools for the Crunch at all? Or I might be willing to buy some other parts alongside the file depending on how much you would need to sell to make disassembly worthwhile.

Btw my order would also include the Surge saw/file holder (stainless) and a set of your "lite" wrenches (or preferably the new, longer wrenches if you have any in stock again) if that makes any difference.

I wonder if there is a file from another multitool that could be substituted without too much modification.

Or if yours has broken, is sending it in to Leatherman to get fixed under warrantee an option?

Of parts I've looked at, I don't think they have the same profile. I would love to be wrong and informed if there is another Leatherman that has interchangeable tools with the Crunch. Seriously if anyone knows this info, I'd be super grateful to have it.

My file is fine, I just want to make my Crunch bladeless. Ideally I want to have a t-shank blade exchanger where the knife was so I can have a metal jigsaw blade in there, and ditch it if I can't have a blade somewhere. For now though, just replacing the knife with a second file would be fine with me and give me some time to better figure out how to handle the t-shank situation.

I would loathe to buy a second crunch just to start tearing it apart, but I'm tempted. I wouldn't mind having spare parts around, and I'm sure I could come up with at least a couple of uses for it if I had to.  :dunno:

Not really what you are looking for but it's another option:
Pretty good hack for using the Saw and File from the Surge  :tu:

I think it will be easier to find a donor for ebay than I disassemble the crunch. I don’t really like to disassemble working multitools, but I don’t have a broken crunch

Hmmm, holding a blade in the locking jaws. An obvious solution I hadn't considered. Perhaps I'll just keep it simple and grind the knife into an awl and call it a day, and fashion a t shank holder that gets gripped in the vise jaws. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for the reply.. I will hunt for a damaged crunch.

Loki, would you be willing to measure the thickness of the Surge blade changer vs the thickness of the Super Tool blade changer? I want to buy one of the two, but have not decided 100% which.

Thanks for your time.

Well this is number 2 I guess
I was wondering why I couldn’t reply... been forever since I’ve used one of these forums

Glad to hear you have the mini bit holder in stock

I’m hoping to cut off the small screw driver section and weld on a small pin punch... I do a lot of firearm stuff so that’s a must have

Torn on if I really want to install the mini bit since you can use the locking tabs to hold a smal bit, but it just seems nicer (still buying either way)

Which saw file holder is it? Just bought a new surge and it looks like it has a spring arm... does this help with non LM blade wobble I’ve read about?

Any issues or work needed to install it to replace the serrated on a surge?

Hello,

I am thinking about modding my WAVE PLUS. I would like to have these things fitted:

-S30V blade (from CHARGE TTI?)
-serated blade with hook (from CHARGE PLUS?)
-full size scissors (from WINGMAN?)
-blade exchanger (from SURGE?)
-exchangable file with diamond coating (from SURGE?)
-small flat screwdriver (from SURGE?)
-bit set incl. bit extension
-holster with pockets for bit set, bit extension and small lamp

Can you help me buying those things? Only the flat blade has to be new.

And one question: Would it be useful changing the pliers?

Kind regards

Shipping would be to EU.

-blade exchanger (from SURGE?) - saw|file holder in stock
-exchangable file with diamond coating out of stock (only saw available)
-small flat screwdriver (from SURGE?) - may be better blast/fuse small scredriver (in stock)?
-bit set incl. bit extension - out of stock
-holster with pockets for bit set, bit extension and small lamp - out of stock (i can add bonus plastic sheath - https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,83116.new.html)

And one question: Would it be useful changing the pliers? - Why change the pliers? At the wave+ they are one of the best...

OK, thanks for your answer, you can also write a private message if you prefer...

So, more questions:
1. Are the prices the same without ebay?
2. seperate bit extension in black available?
3. why small screwdriver of BLAST / FUSE? I want to remove the standard scissors, what would be a good tool instead? Is there some other opening hook or tool fitting?
4. What would post and package cost to germany? You only take dollar?
thank you very much.
