Anyone ever use a Kendama?

Was just curious if anyone has ever used one? My son always wanted one and he got one so long ago, and today he was cleaning his room and that was one thing he was throwing out.. Well I snatched it, never tried, never seen anyone ever really use one, but I just fig I might try my hand at it and maybe knock myself out? I posted long ago on yoyo's, I got me a few of those but never really got too good, I was just shocked on how advanced they've become, I was always old school that was until they came out with "the brain" with the clutch, but now with ball bearings, theses things are amazing. So just wondering any kendama users?

Idk, idk the first thing on them, besides swing the ball up or pop it up and catch it in the cup? Which I tried a few times and did it..

I have one and like them heaps.
There are rhymes and sequences to master as you level up.
Should be able to find plenty of info or videos about it online.
Also makes for a great drinking game if that's your thing.
And we even have a small Kendama Club here at MTo.
