(Stupid) Knife Fails

Was looking for something entirely different, started from Bud K and ended over here and though, hey, new group topic on Knife Fails!

That was the messiest nonsense I've seen this week.
Quite impressed!

I could see some moron trying this with an actual .22, not a blank...

If you thought this video was messy...

It's supposed to be like the WASP knife, that shoots CO2 into whatever you just stabbed. The idea is that the blast of gas destroys the internal organs of whatever you stabbed (the WASP is aimed at protecting divers from sharks).

Same concept, different execution.

If I'm ever attacked by a melon or a ketchup bottle, I know which knife I wouldn't choose to defend myself.

I thought the whole point of the WASP, which I remember a lot of questioning of its usefulness when it came out, was injecing the stabbed with gas so it would float away, along with freezing the organs.

Also it seems like if that was his plan a bigger round would be appropriate.

It happens more often than you think, judging by how often they are demonstrated on.

Am I correct in understanding that he has made a knife/tool cabable of firing a real live .22 bullet (in which he is using blanks)
But that has a bent barrel and a blockage at the end of said barrel.
And is triggered by a manual action a few inches away from the end of the barrel?

Surely this is complete madness??

He makes the point in the video that it only works with blanks, the barrel is also apparently too small.

Ah Thanks  :tu: - Clearly I  was not listening carefully enough  :twak:

Still a crazy idea - And somewhat dangerous I guess - For the user that is!!

I had to look up the Wasp knife too - Great if it saves you from a shark - But in the wrong hands - Ugh.

I think I'll keep my knife buying habits to the traditional non- explosion types.....

I'll stick with various metals only until someone develops a light saber.
