Finally got it done. So bad at completing tasks at the moment.
Will see how they hold up.

Looks glorious  :tu:
All I know is that I don't know anything - but I can't prove it!

Necro report.

The Green Aloxplorer (pictured above) is as tight as the day it was born 2 & 1/2 years ago.

Sure, there are better screwed pivots out there, but not at less than 50c for a whole knife.

Hey,

So this is funny. I found these circuit board standoffs independently, bought them about 2 months ago but haven't don't the mod yet. I then found this thread the other day.

Glad to see that it all worked out. I bought some long pivots 23mm. And I found that the threads did not go all the way through. I had to tap from each end to about 1/2 way. Did you experience this?

I also changed to use hex screws instead of torx.

Lastly did you use the same pivots for the middle pivot and drill it out? Or did you thin the pivot?

Very curious about this.

Yes, the thread was only about 5mm deep from each end so I tapped it the rest of the way.

The screws I used are in hex head as shown in the photo above and I drilled out the centre hole to 3mm from the original 2.5 so I could use the same pivots in all 3 holes.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I'd like to know how these hold up over time. I'm  considering using brass M2 standoffs as pivots for 93mm SAKs. I've already used them on a Leatherman Juice mod but I'm worried by the much stronger 93mm springs. To those of you who made 93mm SAKs with them, do you have any update for the rest of us?
