Oh, it needs more than just a clean!- Can opener is broken- Plain blade is broken off leaving just a stub stuck inside the handle- Serrated blade has been ground down into a plain edge. - Plier handles are very loose - should there be any springs or anything inside the handles?- Dome on the sheath replaced with velcro (and LOTS of glue)
I recommended wired wheels or brushs to knock the rust off. The wires will get to all the peaks and valleys while the sandpaper will just glide across. Your tool will not have many scratch lines either.
Looks like fun! Its nice to see where you plan on putting those parts now. Good luck

Your tool will not have many scratch lines either.I used a small toothbrush-sized wire brush to get into some of the nooks and crannies.I used the sandpaper on a sanding block where possible to try to sand flat. This tool has plenty of scratches from abuse so I'm not too worried about sandpaper scratches.Quote from: sLaughterMed on August 21, 2016, 11:28:07 PMLooks like fun!
