Wenger Ranger Snow models query.
on: March 04, 2017, 02:17:56 PM
Can anyone here confirm the official Wenger Ranger  models that were released with the Realtree AP Snow scales.
I've done numerous searches over the past few weeks to try and get the official model numbers but it's proving to be harder than I thought.

Was it:-

Snow 50
Snow 57
Snow 79
Snow 97 (Eastern Europe Only)

Blaze 55
Blaze 50
Blaze 57

I'm certain Basillo had the only original Wenger Catalogue that featured the Snow Ranger,(2013??) but I can't find it on SAKWiki.

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

The Snow 97 does/did exist

I'm damn certain I stumbled on the Snow 57 some time back, but I guess it could just have been a scale swap jobby

Great catalogue!

Here are my only Snows:
I don't know how they printed the Realtree pattern - it's different on every knife. (I had several Evohunters once, sold them all; I never saw two identical knives but occasionally I'd recognise part of the pattern.)

Anyway, the Realtree Snows are my favourite Wengers of all time - possibly my favourite SAKs regardless of manufacturer. I am super-glad I picked up the Ranger when I did (for 35 euros!) - it was almost my first SAK purchase. And of course I had no idea they would soon become impossible to find.

The image attached is the pattern used for the AP Snow.
All the knives are different, because the scales were printed using different part of the image.

Massive thanks to Basilio for uploading the Wenger brochure.
 :salute:

I agree, the Snow's are fabulous. The one I saw on eBay 2 weeks back priced at €300 was sold! Just goes to show how much collectors now want them.
I wish I'd bought a truck full!

I will NEVER part with mine.  :ahhh
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.
