The Pythagorean theorem in 12 Classics.  :D

Cool!
Now make one in 5, 12, 13! And 12, 35, 37! And 48, 55, 73!
How many Classics do you have? :pok:

Just consulted my math teacher friend.

It checks out.

what if you were to switch things up and mix in the 84mm, 111mm and 93mm?

I think it can be done with 12 times 84 times 93 times 111 SAKs at most.

Brilliant.

The full representation requires drawing the full rectangulars, which means 4x the SAKs used. But this is an elegant abstract solution, similar to the one Pythagoras used the first time. Perhaps he used tiles or building blocks or something. This way he didn't have to prove that the angle is right, something you would have to prove when using sticks, or SAKs.

I thought 84mm and 111mm knives don't have wenches; )

I showed this to my middle school child. Great tool.

If you create a triangle with 99 58 mm along one side, 93 91 mm along another and 92 111 mm along the last, it will have the angles ~34.21°, ~55.97°, ~89.82°. So if you have a large collection and plenty of room, that's one of the nicer solutions I found. (The almost hypotenuse will be over 10 m long, obviously.) Personally, I have neither the space at home, nor the knives, to demonstrate. :)
