Beautiful mods Breezy, thanks for sharing summaries and pics :2tu: (had seen one or two before)

+1 Lot of excellent work Breezy  Again this is an awesome thread DT :like: and yes that might be my diamond file in one of my Rebar's now  :D
thanks guys

I also have a knifeless Squirt mod that I'd like to add here, but I can't find any pictures of it at the moment. :-[ I've also done a couple simpler mods with the Style CS/PS platform that are a little more user friendly. I'll try to get some pics uploaded soon and post some details to go with them. :salute:

There's also plenty of fun to be had with cerakote... but I didn't think those deserved their own post in this thread, so I'll sneak in a picture here. ;)

...

Now that is one great mod I might try to adopt too for my Rebar - I checked but the ST 300 file I have lying about is not diamond and that would be an excellent addition. Thanks Steve for the detailed pics :tu:
One Two Three questions - what did you use on the hard file material? Would a diamond cutting disk on a Dremel work? Did you add a nail nick or could you access the existing one well?

Thanks for the encouragement Ponch :tu: Am I right in guessing the Wave file above has found its way into your Rebar?

I used the regular Dremel cutoff disks, the non reinforced ones. No nail nick needed.

Great thread idea BTW   :like:  :tu:

Mainly a Dremel, but I also used my bench top belt sander (not safe at all!)

Here's my Rebar II  mod  thread  :tu:

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,57377.msg1033900.html#msg1033900

(Image removed from quote.)

Thanks Steve. I detect an ever-so-slight similarity to Ponch's Rebar 2 (apart from the diamond file refinement)... Given the timeline, yours must have been the earlier (or original)?
About thinning the can opener - about how much did you need to take off?
Cheers!

I definitely wasn't the first to put scissors in the Rebar   :tu:

I didn't measure how much I took off but it wasn't a lot  1/32" or less.

Very nice, thanks for sharing! :tu:

Would you care to add a few details as per original post? It would be especially interesting to know where you got extraneous items from and what you had to do to them to make them fit.

Aim: Basically to squeeze in as much functional tools as possible.
Mods: Original scales and rivets were removed. Knife blade shortened to accommodate the larger flathead as a pry tool in the same tool bay. A selection of rather random tools from some micra knockoffs. Only acceptable quality tools were picked. All tools have their individual lock bar to hold them in place. Tool Name: Wave R (Ruggedised)
Basis: Leatherman Wave
Aim: Making a ruggedised version of the Wave along the lines of my Surge R.
Mods:: removed scissors and both large and small bit drivers (these went into my Rebar VX), added the Rebar's fixed Phillips and small screwdriver (trimmed down to fit) as well as an awl fashioned out of another small Rebar screwdriver (courtesy of Breezy12 :hatsoff:). The plier head rest tabs in both handles has to be removed by twisting them off and grinding away the remains.
