For my use, the Boye is probably ideal, as it has a spike, but not a ton of weight. It has been at the top of my list for quite some time. But, they are $239. By no means, cheap.

I like it a lot. The hard thing is to decide if it's proper for EDC. I EDC it since I got it, to make my mind up.

The pros:

Very light
Flat
Small
Exotic metals, cobalt and titanium
Paramagnetic
Marlin spike/shackle key/poking tip/prying tool/fidget.
Nice and safe locking/unlocking lockback
Boye curve
Serrated blade and non pointy.

The cons:
Shorter than K55K/Opinel 8/Endura
Serrated blade and non pointy.

The last one is a pro for naval and safety use and some other tasks.
It doesn't look threatening because it has no point also.
It's a con when you need a clean cut.
But I have my Swisschamp and an Executive for that.
It was very dull and I sharpened it easily with a diamond file.
