:like: reckon you might well be right about that dmatt, looking forward to getting a Bond and finding out.

Compact and Rebar definitely a brilliant combo

 :iagree: Great combo!!

I'm usually not a fan of translucent scales but that green with the oxide is a stunner.

I don’t know if it is my “favorite” combo, but I do like the one a lot -
Signal + Rogue

Plus, doesn’t Topo and Smokey the Bear go nicely.

Wave and Executive  :salute: always a great combo, the OHO blades of the Wave, it's diamond file, saw and bit driverare all awesome, then the scissors, small blades, orange peeler :D and small file of the Executive makes for great comboing :woohoo:

And we can't forget the toothpick and tweezers ;) if not for those I would probably carry a MT by itself more  or maybe not :dunno:

I've been on a "minimalist" kick lately and carrying this very compact & capable combo for a couple of weeks:

Sportsman, Skele PE and Rambler

I think I might be better served with a Tourist than the Sportsman...

This is my nearly perfect combo.  The only things that keep it from being perfect is the absence of a toothpick on the Micra, and the redundant scissors on the Curl.  Still, there is no better combo for me.

That is an awesome combo, Rich 8) :tu: If I could find a way to carry toothpick and tweezers in a very small form factor I probably would still carry a SAK   Just be great to have an option to carry them without one sometimes :D

Thanks, Poncho.  Sometimes I carry a small SAK instead of the Micra (specifically an Ambassador, Executive, Rambler, or a Classic SD), but I always return to the Micra for the better scissors.  I think to myself "I don't really need a toothpick", but as soon as I switch to the Micra I need a toothpick.  :ahhh

Haha, I never would have thought I’d want a toothpick in a pocket knife.  Then I got a SAK, and years later I can’t stand being without a toothpick.

I generally prefer a full-sized multi as a stand-alone tool, with maybe a Vic Classic on the key ring.
Recently though I’ve really come to appreciate the value of the PS4 paired with an SAK; it makes for an extremely versatile carry in the most compact combo I’ve found so far.

Makes a good weekend or after work pair when full sized tools are unnecessary.

With so many ideas of different carries here on MTO I have definitely rethought much about my carries over the years  :salute:

That is a great carry with a lot of utility in a small package 8) :like:

That’s one of the reasons I love this place.
I’ve always been a minimalist for the most part, but I also have to have every tool available
Seeing how others have streamlined their carries has given me all kinds of ideas of how to find my ideal set-up.

For a person wanting to have it all in the smallest package possible the PS4 pairs great with any SAK that has the tools you want. Farmer X or Huntsman is my preference  :D

This topic is just pure multitool porn...
The only combo I use sometimes is Gerber Dime + Explorer/Huntsman... But now I've got a Swisstool around the house, maybe I'll edc'it.
