Fuzzbucket: on Shelves

Cue music... Camille Saint-Saëns’s Danse Macabre played continuously on loop... until we start diggin em up...

Episode 2: Second from the Top featuring Fuzzbucket's Stool

Hello and welcome to a my six part mini-series delving into the fascinating and often murky world of shelves...

Let's get right to it...

Second from the Top Shelf

Not much happening here really... as this is a particularly boring shelf, mostly mediocre books on history (Andrew Marr? not sure if I want to keep that?) with the exception of Warrior Race by James Lawrence, although I haven't read it in years, I do remember liking it and thinking it was rather excellent at the time.
Notice the stack of random non-history related books at the front there... probably put there because I was doing some hoovering and needed to get them off the floor. Some okay books there though... as you can probably tell I quite like bumblebees.
You'll also no doubt notice the strange totemic object to the left there - it's an artwork acquired through a work project - don't read too much into the significance of the rainbow.

Right Fuzzy's African stool - mostly (now sadly redundant) smoking paraphernalia, here you see my favourite pipe - notice it's of a billiard style for maximum masculinity and stiff upper lip-ness, a tobacco pouch and tin, a lighter and a cricket ball. The stool is very old and probably from West Midlands Africa...bugger me if I remember how came by it.

Right, time for Viewers Corner...

This is where I invite you the viewer to send in pictures of your shelf or shelves and to ask any personal or intimate shelf related questions...

Today this from Mrs Murgatroyd 49 of Finchley asking,

I got my handyman recently to make and install some shelves in my boudoir, but I'm just not happy with the overall quality or workmanship of the end product and fear he's diddled me and done it on the cheap using substandard materials... I'm also concerned that they're too flimsy and will not hold up to the rigours of day to day living in Finchley. Please help me - what should I do?

So, if anybodies got any advice for Mrs Murgatroyd 49 of Finchley, please let us hear it by leaving a comment below...

That's all for now, don't miss the next episode - Top Middle Third from the Top...!

Oh dear.....

I bet that out-of-shape 2-piece cricket ball swings like a barn door in a storm...

If you're into British history I recommend Castle by Marc Morris.  :salute:

I'd recommend Mrs Murgatroyd 49 of Finchley to get a lawyer to retrieve her money from that clandestine boudoir maker!
Preferably Fuzzbucket lawyers at 0800-2562-3845-4939-2910-2949-LAWYER

I'm sure they can even provide extra help during the everday businesses in Finchley.

Pablo, the cause of an action is an affect. The result of the affect is the effect. The wind (the cause of the action) affected the leaves in the trees. The leaves in the trees were effected (the result) by the wind. Don't worry, it only took me 50 years to figure it out and then my sister who is a professional editor and proof reader told me that they are rarely used correctly so either is acceptable according to common usage.
