Good to see you DO have some trees there...

 :tu:  Thousands of years ago, all of that would have been forests.  Even a few hundred years ago, most of the uplands were wooded.  Now, only 1/8 of Wales is forest but it's slowly increasing.

Great pics H  :salute: I did one of these about 20yrs ago but back then we carried everything in a backpack or on a rear rack,was a 24hr event I can't even remember where it was but up north  :D was fun  :tu:

I took 1.6kg of stuff I didn't use too. :facepalm:

Route was roughly like this:

Started from Rhayader in the south, rode N to the first red dot (the start of the event) then followed the loop anti-clockwise.  Stopped for the night at the second red dot, then south to the finish and on to Rhayader again.
