Some photos showing each tool and what it does. Please feel free to ask questions. This is just a photo comparison, but I'd be glad to take measurements and weights if you like.

nice comparison  :multi: and interesting evolution, the jump from Q2 to Q3 seems huge in the toolset

Thanks for showing them with all the tools I didn't ever look at that myself and was curious about the differences
If you had to pick one, which would be your favorite?  :pok:

Thank you, TP!

The Q4 is outrageously expensive and, technically has less tools. I don't think the ratcheting bit driver on the Q4 is worth the extra $20. But, with that said, you do get the beautiful black leather case and bits with the Q4.

My pick of the Q4 and Q3 would be the Q3. $20 cheaper ans has more built in tools  :)
The Q1 and Q2 is more simple. The Q2 has a blade, bottle opener/medium flat driver, and bright flashlight. The Q1 has a pen, bottle opener/medium flat driver and a very good pair of scissors. The scissors are so sharp and well ground, you could use one half of the scissors as a knife  :)

It is very subjective to one's needs though, but the pricing makes determining the best tool a bit easier. BUT, the Q4 leather case and 24 1/4" bits are an attractive feature.

It may also be worth noting, that the Q1, Q3, and Q4 all have scissors/pliers that can be tightened at the pivot with a screw. A very rare feature in multi-tools(the gerber pinch v.1, v.2, and v.3 had that). No peening on these to fix any looseness.  :)

yeah that case looks cool  :like: and the bits are an added value, but myself I'd go with the 3 probably too  :salute:
the flashlight on the Q2 might come handy and be a welcome feature if you don't carry a light in your EDC but I don't know it's power or what batteries it uses  ???

and I am glad to see that SOG can still make good (not just passable) scissors  :tu:
