If I get an other SOG,that would be the one I would want also, the last one I had was the S62,liked everything but when I used the phillips screwdriver the gears would dig into my palm,so I gave it to my son. :salute:

PowerAssist (Black Oxide) = B66

PowerAssist EOD (Black Oxide) = B67

BOTH also come in s/s finish - both have different implements in them .....
B66 is probably the choice of most users, I'll take the B67.
Never know when the crimpers and C4 spike may need to be called into emergency service.

I'm waiting for the:  PowerCut (Black Oxide)  B68

Well It has been years since I needed the C4 spike so I really will stick with the 66. However It would make a neat Marlin spike for the boat.

Well now that is strange; on the SOG site both the S66 and the B66 show the same set of tools:

But on my S66 there is a file instead of a saw....? ???

I wouldn't fancy getting that through customs , so I will have to settle for a B69 in the future .

Ok Bob that is totally unsatisfactory, i cant believe SOG whould do such a thing!! That is clearly misrepresenting a product! Thaey leagally should not be allowed to do that.  And furthermore to teach them a lesson I have contacted a lawyer, and he states that this is outrageous and that you shold immidiately should send the   tool to me si I can give it to him.

Did it work?

Hey can you take a snap of the other blade on it? for some reason there is no shots of it anywhere.

I ordered mine from Bass Pro Shops. Maybe you'll get lucky and they will open up a store in Antarctica soon. :)

Bass pro is actually opening a retail location within an hour drive from me, but still under construction. Then again it'll most likely be understocked and overpriced comapre to its u.s. counterpart.

Damn it, I want one but c$ is down the crapper right now.

Anyone know if it's normal to get a file instead of the saw?  I wonder if that one tool was wrong or if the website is wrong

Good question. Maybe DavidBinGa will drop by and tell us what is on his.

In the mean time, check out the PowerAssist video on YouTube:

At the 1:36 point he flicks out a saw blade.

BassPro has the S66 on sale now for $69.95 cdn. , the U.S. stores should have a similar sale on as well but I'm haven't checked the website yet so not positive.  Sale ends Dec. 24.

That's an AWESOME price considering the regular price is $89 CDN.

Can Americans order from the Canadian site?

I don't think BassPro has a Canadian website but there's definitely a huge, month-long sale right now for BassPro stores in Canada... for sure in Ontario.

EDIT: Actually, I just checked basspro.com and the Toronto location (ONT - Vaughan, Toronto) can be selected from the drop-down menu.  I see Calgary also listed so I guess Canadian BassPro shops can also be accessed via Basspro.com.

There's a bass pro location not too far from me that's under construction forever now, but I think the only functional bass pro store in canada is in ontario. Did you see the price in store?

I looked over the web shop, couldn't find any canadian section. You can buy stuff and ship to canada but same price as u.s. bass pro shop, which is really expensive compare to other online retailers.

I think this got posted on a different thread; sorry guys:
Ok here is what I got back:

"David,

The first few tools shipped out with saws and we had originally spec’d them with the saw.  After the very first production run we switched to the file.  So now all PowerAssist tools will have the file instead of the saw.  I’ll need to redo the video with the file version and change the website.

Chris"

Jzmtl,  It's listed in their Canadian "Holiday Sale" flyer.  From the BassPro.com home page - select "our stores" I think, bottom of the page then select " Ontario " , this will take you to the Ontario store site and then click on the "Holiday Sale" circular ( flyer prices are in cdn. ).  They have alot of Leatherman's on sale but on the preceeding page they also have the PowerAssist advertised on sale.
You might be able to call the store and place the order, I'm guessing as long as your placing the order from Canada they would process it.

I've also noticed on some of the pictures in the website and catalog it shows the tool with button head cap screws and not the hex bolts that are on the powerlock series.   The button head screws look much better IMO , like the ones on the Palidin PowerPlay.

I found it. I'll have to see thou, if I had to pay both tax and shipping then the price would be almost same as pre-sale level.
