MP600 Blade touching the inside handle when closef

So as you can see its touching the inside handle, is it normal? What can I do about it?

I've seen that occasionally. Short of sending it in to Gerber, a piece of thin rubber glued under where the blade tip makes contact would work. It usually doesn't hurt the blade too much to touch, unless the very tip is something you need razor sharp.

Gil2979, for all I know all of my 3 mp600's had their tip touch the inside of the handle. I just keep some friction by slightly tightening the pivot bolt and also added a thin strip of rubber (sliver of  bicycle handlebar grip tape)inside the handle where the blades touch. Mind you, it also happens to all of my mp's SE blades and did the same thing to them. No problems yet even after a year.
 As the Boss said,  "It usually doesn't hurt the blade too much to touch, unless the very tip is something you need razor sharp."
