Victorinox "Pressurized Ballpoint Pen"
on: December 30, 2019, 09:14:01 AM
Hi guys.
In the instruction of any Victorinox knife there is a phrase "Pressurized Ballpoint Pen". I used to think that "Pressurized" meant that ballpoint tip was pressured at the ink bulb or plastic head was pressured on it.
Yesterday on YouTube I heard, that "Pressurized Ballpoint Pen" means pressured gas/air in the ink bulb like Fisher Space Pen. On SakWiki I have found no clarification about the pressure nature.
So, what do you think about it?
And who knows - where ballpoint pens are produced? Are they Swiss made as well as knives or they are OEM produced somewhere else?
-Sorry my bed Inglish :) -

If it writes when it's upside down, which most pens can't do, it's pressurised like a Space Pen.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

That's been my interpretation as well. I often have both a MiniChamp and the "military" model Fisher Auto-Cap on me, and they both write equally as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Fisher making the pens for Vic.

I have some of these that are coming on 30 years old and they still write great.  I wish I knew where they were made, too, and I agree with Cody that it seems likely they are made by Fisher.

My oldest original pen is exactly 20 years old and still writes fine. No problems with any of the used or NOS types all the way back to ‘86 production in the first, thin plier, small ‘v’ tang stamp SwissChamps.

I’ve always suspected Fischer as the maker, but haven’t found any supporting documentation.
