Guess what just came in the mail?!?!?
OK, I said it in the Subject line...
I'm was so excited and wanted to share it with you all. This is my first "vintage" multi tool, and what a classic it is.
The guy I bought it from on ebay said he had it 25 years and carried it only for a short time, rarely ever using it. Wow, that's for sure. The nylon case shows signs it's been carried, but the tool is pristine.
He guessed the tool was made somewhere between Sept 1992 and May 1993 according to the single patent number.
I inspected the inner tools and found zero scuff marks or mars, not even on the knife blades or screwdrivers. The handles only have one small scuff.
And.....wait for it.....it flicks out like a boss! "Ziiiip, CLACK!"
OK, I'm calling on you professionals to
help me identify the specific name Gerber called it and approximate date of manufacture. Let me know if you need any other images.
Here is the official unboxing...
A big
Thank You goes out to my Buck Vantage Select for assisting in the box opening ceremony.
Also, my lovely assistant, Savanah, will be standing by should we need her.
The case has only a slight scuff mark on the front where the pivot pin rests.
And here it is.
Please hold your applause until the end of the presentation. Here is the tool set it came with.
Go ahead...tell me it's a one-of-a-kind.
Tell me it's the rarest Gerber ever made.
Tell me it's worth millions, that only the likes of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett could attempt to own such a fine example of vintage perfection.
Go ahead.
Here is the side shot showing the patent information with the single patent number displayed.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
