Skeletool Benchmade pocket clip

Hello, first post here folks.
I have been carrying the skeletool for a while but always found it annoying to pocket carry. The clip position is wrong and wherever I put my hand in my pocket the lock bar cut out on the blade would scratch the side of my hand. As the point of the skeletool is a light, pocket carry tool, this was rather irritating.
I came up with this solution: a Benchmade deep carry clip mounted on the other end of the tool.
I used the existing small hole on the carabiner to mount one of the screws, (it's exactly the right size for the screws that come with the Benchmade clip) and drilled another hole for the other screw. I did not have a thread tapper small enough so I just forced the screws in. This worked ok but I might have to properly tap them in the future.
The result works very well. Much more comfortable in the pocket, and deep carry so the tool is completely hidden.

Post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for seven (7) consecutive days. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a LM Pocket Survival Tool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of an Axe for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of a traditional folder for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread with photos of your slasher/chopper/machete knives in use Start a new thread and post a photo of the keychain for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread with a photo showing the Swiss Army Knife   Toothpick being used in an unusual way. Start a new thread and post a photo of a fixed blade for thirty (30) consecutive days.

That looks great! Did you make that clip or is it off something else? Another great thing about having the clip there is that the the blade is now tip up, so it's much quicker to deploy out of the pocket.

It’s designed it in CAD and 3D printed it. Hope to get it made in steel!

I like tip down but the bulk of weight of the Skele is in your pocket.

By the way for anyone wanting to try this, I just emailed Benchmade and asked them for a deep carry clip, and they posted two of them to me in Ireland free of charge.

I had to try it! Had these clips from a while back, used some M2 screws and threaded inserts.
