Toothpick use
on: May 11, 2020, 02:26:39 PM
Didn't realize there is a badge for the toothpick, but here's something I found to be useful for painting the inside of the translucent scales with glow paint.  I dip the wooden stir stick that comes with the paint into it and then scrape off a glob of the paint right at the tip of the toothpick and let it run off the tip for the first layer into each area of the scale.   On the smaller spots I just use a little tiny dab over and over on the tip until they are coated and then wipe off excess with a q-tip.

Yep... this one was from my Cybertool M.   Now I really want the next one up with a saw and file as well.   Really liking the layout of tools on the CT.

I found the toothpick is the perfect size for removing lint from an iPhone 8 charging port...

In pitch black with a strong charge, I can still see them a good hour afterward.   The sapphire scales I just did on another knife works even better, but it won't work through ruby scales at all.

Ruby probably filters the wavelength needed to ‘charge’. Interesting.
