The magic bus has been removed due to too many people getting into difficulties trying to get to it, just as Chris was unprepared for the wilderness i think there will be just as many unprepared tourists as before but now going to see where the bus was, i don't think they will stop going :dunno:

I think they are planning on displaying it outside a info center so maybe people won't go looking for it in the wild and needing rescue or worse.

That would probably be a good thing, i'm pretty sure there is a fake bus at an info center or coffee shop type thing somewhere nearby, they may swap it over for the real one  :tu:

Let's hope people find out and not go out looking for it. Read that there has been several unprepared hikers that have died looking for it and many more needed rescue so keeping it easily accessible would be the best solution :tu:

I think what people have problems with are the two river crossings,even if they keep it on the same trail but below the first river would work probably

There were some buses used as accommodation for work crews working on upgrading the trail for a mine camp further up, they were dragged in by a dozer and in 1961 when they finished they dragged the buses back out but they had some sort of mechanical problem with bus 142 so they left it at the side for a shelter for hunters etc  :tu:
